This week we covered industry events and why we need to go to them as well as what was on soon for us to go to. They are important as they help us gain knowledge of the industry whilst trying to enter ourselves into it by asking for positions by purely talking one on one with the industry professionals that attend these events.
This is where we discussed the elevator pitches again and said how this is where it would be most useful as we would have very little time to make an impression amongst the vast amounts of other people there. This was a great lesson to really prepare us for going to an event like this and shows there are more ways to try and gain experience in the industry than just sending a CV.
